Project Synopsis:
The purpose of this systematic review is to support the advancement of health literacy through the Australian primary health care system. The review draws on best evidence internationally and considers its policy and practice relevance for Australia. While it is acknowledged that health literacy advancement is also supported though initiatives across several other sectors such as school education, the principal focus of this review is health literacy in primary health care.
